SM score across groups

Scrum Maister offers a dashboard widget that calculates and displays the average SM score across groups. A group can be a project or any custom field that exists in your Jira.

To add a widget, go to Dashboards, pick a dashboard to modify and click “Edit” → “Add gadget” button at the top of the page. In the list of widgets, find “SM score across groups” and add it.

After adding the widget, configure it as desired:

Group by projects

For grouping by projects, simply save it with empty values as above. The results will be similar to:

Checkboxes “Done”, “In Progress”, “In Backlog” are only activated when grouping by a custom field.

When grouping by projects, all issue status categories are included.

Group by custom field values

For grouping based on a custom field value, in the configuration of the widget:

  • Figure out the custom field’s Jira ID - follow the official Atlassian guide for detailed instructions.

  • Add the ID to the field and specify which issue status categories to include. If none are selected, all categories will be included.

  • Save changes.

The widget will calculate the status and show the average SM score per each unique group, like below.
